I have read tons of books on similar topics and had very low expectations going into this book.I though nothing new could possibly be said about happiness & habits.The authors proved me wrong and I am happy to apply every single thing in here to better my life.A lot of this info is only accessible in high level, expensive programs and even then not fully explained for how to apply in a busy, stressed life.Added to my reread and reference collection, it's that great!I received an ARC copy to review, all opinions are my own.

This is a book I didn't think I needed until I read it. Scott explains all the dynamics of what being happy is, why it's so elusive and how to get to a happy state with great advice including 53 ways to increase your happiness.I'm still going through the book to get through ALL the habits but I already know enough to make this my best year, based on what I can do for myself (and for others). I appreciate the teaching, good advice and challenges I am getting from the book. This is a book for everyone trying to understand this subject and its presented in a way that everyone can understand.I recommend this book! - MichaelPlease know that I did receive a free copy of this book. This book also tells that one should not try all the habits at once. Start small with one or two at a time. I believe that this book could be helpful to anyone.

This book has so much quality content that focuses on what really matters.! Steve points out how our modern world has warped our minds. We are less healthy, less social, more stressed and less satisfied. "Happier Human" includes 53 Science-backed habits to increase your happiness. These ideas are supported by a wealth of studies and research from the field of positive psychology. Beyond the 53 habits there are also eight reasons people experience unhappiness and strategies to implement them. I found this book extremely helpful. It is not someone just reflecting on their thoughts about the world. It connects to research and you will find yourself saying ...hey, that's me or I could do that. I like the sections where the author includes strategies that you could use; for example, strategies for "replacing experiences which often cause unhappiness." This is a book that I will read again. Helpful. Easy to read. Easy to use.

I received a free copy of this book. I would recommend this book to anyone that is willing to make some changes in their life to be happier. He offers the facts and studies behind the suggestions he makes for things to try in your life. One of the suggestions that I personally found the most helpful was to have deeper relationships with your friends and family. He includes numerous ideas of topics and specific questions you can bring up while having real indepth conversations with the important people in your life. As an introvert, I struggle with initiating conversations, so these suggestions were very helpful. I believe there is something in this book that could benefit everyone that is willing to try and that wants to lead a happy life.

This book has a ton of great ideas for how to live a positive life and leave the negative behind. A person developing just a few of his ideas should improve their life immensely. A positive attitude is practiced habits.
