 My review is of the standard paperback version of this book. As I have purchased and reviewed the Premium version of other of this publishers books, I'm certain that the paper in the spiral-bound version of the book is an improvement over what the paperback.This is an excellent devotional guide which can be accomplished in 30 days (as the writer suggests) or at your own speed if you prefer to save out the time you spend in devotional study.The format of the book alternates between one day of suggested tasks and prayers to the next day of coloring. That amounts to fifteen days each of both formats. Each day is prefaced with cited verse of Scripture and the task/coloring relates back to that verse.Each day has a page of verse and then the author shares her personal thoughts and experiences which relate to the verse. Then, you either follow the tasks or color the design depending on which day it is.I found the course of study to be of immense personal use for me. It seemed as if the entire book had been geared towards the issues I have been facing. The stories that the author tells are heartfelt and the suggested tasks are ones that, while I found a bit emotionally challenging, were ultimate rewarding for me.The coloring was just a small part of this book and the designs are geared to and highlight the Bible verse. Each of the drawings can be accomplished in a day.For coloring purposes, the paper in this book is white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforated. Alcohol and water-based markers bleed through. Gel pens and India ink leave shadows of color on the back of the back. Colored pencils work well (both oil and wax based) but hard lead pencils can leave dents. I use a blotter page under the page I am working on (both coloring and using a pen for writing) to keep ink and dents from marring the pages below.

The scripture and verses are good. There is also places to take notes and answer the questions it asks you to think about. However the coloring are very small and there is very little to even color. For example, on one of the coloring pages there is a verse in black and then a few small leaves and a flowers spread around to color. That is it. If you are looking for more detailed coloring pages, or larger coloring pages you may want to consider another book. I would not buy again. I gave this a 3 star for the scripture and verses. I would give the coloring pages a 1 star.

The book looks beautiful from the outside and as you flip through the book but there a lot of missed opportunities for more coloring for a coloring book. There's a little snippet of a struggle spoken in 1st person and then next why you shouldn't feel this way or what you should do. No scripture to back anything up. Then next it's either you color or answer a question then a prayer. Nothing special at all. Really wanted to do 2.5 stars.

I bought this coloring book devotional to use during my morning devotional time. It works perfectly for what I needed it for! The verses are well chosen & the written prompts fit in very well. The prompts themselves really make you think & reflect upon your relationship with God & the Bible in general, which is the point of a devotional! The only reason why I did not give five stars is because for being described as a 'coloring' devotional, there is not as much to color as I would have anticipated. This isn't a problem for me, as I appreciate all of the space for personal reflection and notes, just got an accurate description, and could give someone looking for an actual coloring book devotional the wrong idea.

I haven’t read much of the book yet. However, I was expecting more pictures to color. The coloring pages are essentially just small scripture verses that are black with a little bit of a design around the verse to color. I was hoping for a larger or more detailed coloring book aspect.

I love this book - I can't wait to really dive into it with no interruptions this summer! I got one for my mom too and she loves it as well!!

Great book full of quick devotionals with either journal prompts or coloring pages.
